As 2015 comes to an end, it is a time to reflect on the past year and also to look forward to all that 2016 has in store for us. At Champion’s QUEST, December is our counseling (sports psychology) month for our academy athletes. Our student-athletes took a look at their life priorities and their levels of commitment to these priorities. Our goal for every Champion’s QUEST athlete is to help every student-athlete to reach their full potential: Physically, Technically, and Mentally.
During our counseling sessions, the student-athletes view a motivational video comprised of speeches and quotes. Every student-athlete discusses their priorities (Physical, Mental, Social, Academics, Spiritual) and their “Driving Factors” in their life that push them to achieve their career and 2016 goals.
The video can be seen at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo5E83KqYhE
At Champion’s QUEST, goal setting is a very important part of a student-athlete’s development. Our individualized training programs help the student-athlete to set goals and realize the full benefits of their training. When the student-athletes gain inspiration from the video and use that passion to achieve the goals they have set -they are rewarded in many ways.
Whether the recognition comes from increased playing time, better teams, or more success, the athlete can see the payoff from all their hard work and dedication to their life priorities.
