Eric Brunter: From Athlete to Coach

Hi, my name is Eric Brunter and I am going to be helping Coach Brittany and the Champion’s Quest Soccer Academy with the soccer athletes. I graduated from Servite High School in 2010 where I was the starting Center back for 2 years. My club team throughout high school was the Pateadores Soccer Club. I attended Champion’s Quest for my junior and senior year of high school and was one of Coach Brittany’s first athletes when she came to work at Champion’s Quest.

I recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University where I played for 4 years and majored in Athletic Training. However, I was unable to play my senior year due to a torn ACL I suffered in the spring season. The injury helped me to realize that I am very passionate about helping others to get better and pushing them to become the best athlete that they can be. Being a student-athlete at LMU, I learned these 3 valuable lessons:

1. College soccer is a lot of hard work and effort physically, mentally, and emotionally.
2. Taught me how to live a well-balanced life between soccer, school, and social relationships.
3. My time in the strength and conditioning room helped me rekindle my passion for soccer.

After graduating I took my Board of Certification test (and passed) and am now a certified Athletic Trainer. I am working on getting my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and am excited to be back and helping at one of the places where my journey began. I look forward to meeting all the athletes and helping them prepare for the next step in life. If you see me walking around feel free to introduce yourself and I look forward to helping all the athletes attain their goals!

Check me out on the CQ Alumni Page!
