Success Story: Leila Hijazi, Soccer Athlete

Leila Hijazi is in her second year of training at Champion’s Quest. She plays in the midfield for Cypress FC and has grown immensely in creating offensive attacks for her team. When Leila began Champion’s Quest, she was looking for an increase in speed and power. Each quarter, Leila is evaluated in her speed, strength, power, and agility.  In Leila’s first week of training, she set goals for the year in each of those areas. In her first 3 months of training, Leila reached her overall athletic goal set for the year. This is the first time in Champion’s Quest Soccer Academy history that an athlete has accomplished their goals in the first quarter.

Since that first quarter, Leila has not slowed down. She has continued to use the gym on her own and become a leader on her team and in the gym. Her 10-yard acceleration improved from 2.23 to 1.83 seconds, her 40-yard sprint improved from 6.63 to 6.05 seconds, and her plank improved from 1:27 to 4:18. She has even challenged some of her teammates to come in and train with her. (video below.)
 

Leila always has a smile on her face, gives her full attention to becoming stronger and faster. Her future goal is to make the Los Alamitos Varsity High School team as a freshman in the Fall of 2015.
