Champion’s QUEST Success Story – Hannah Butler

This month we want to congratulate a young lady from Rossmoor that started her sports career at St. Hedwigs School in Los Alamitos. This young lady is Hannah Butler and she started training with Coach Derrick Campbell at Champion’s QUEST in February of 2008. Competing as a Figure Skater and Youth Volleyball Player, she has just finished with her Freshman year at Connelly High School. This past year she was able to maintain above a 4.25 GPA in which she was awarded the Presidents Award for Education Excellence and found time to give back by volunteering 84 hours this year for community service. As her Freshman Class President she received the Ambassador Gold Star and was the Head of the Freshman Garden Guardians Club. During her years with us she has changed her focus from skating and volleyball to dancing and singing. Hannah has been awarded the Childress M.A.C.Y. Award for the Bright Spot and Outstanding Achievement in “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Seussical the Musical” respectively. This talented young lady has also been awarded the Cappies Critics Choice Award Lead Actress and the International Thespian Society Certificate of Appreciation for Best Comedian in two separate shows.

Along with acting, she has been able to receive the Tri-School Theatre Thespian of the Month this past March and serves on the Thespian board for Connelly Member at Large CETA (California Educational Theatre Association). During the same month she represented the Tri-Schools in Sacramento for the California Youth in Theatre Day. Hannah was also nominated by The National Youth Theatre Awards for the “Best Actress in a Musical” for her performance in “Seussical.” If that is not enough she received “Faculty Honors” for her Acting and Monologue by the Tri-School Theatre Conservatory.

Some of Hannah’s accomplishments are shown below:

Being able to work with a youth athlete who shows so much talent has opened my eyes to see how much can be accomplished when you have the right guidance and drive from within to fulfill your dreams. I would like to personally congratulate Ms. Hannah Butler on everything that she has been able to accomplish at such a young age. She has a very bright future in front of her and we at Champion’s QUEST would like to wish her the best with all that she has in front of her!
