First Ever Champion Level Athletes at Champion’s QUEST!

Cody Withers and Anthony Palacios 1st Ever Champion Level Athletes!

The Champion’s QUEST Athlete Performance Program has different levels to show each athletes athletic progression.  The levels are as follows: All Star, Elite, All- American, Olympic, and Champion.  These are somewhat like the different color belts in karate.  We have had these levels for over 5 years now and these athletes are the first ever to get to the Champion level!

Cody Withers, age 16, became our first every Champion level athlete on December 8th!  Cody has been with us since April of this year and has been training with Athlete Performance Coach Blake Busson.  Cody plays volleyball for Long Beach Poly High School.

Cody’s stats are as follows:

  • Standing vertical jump – 28.5 in.
  • Approach vertical jump – 33.5 in.
  • 5-10-5 – 4.25 sec.
  • 10 yd. sprint – 1.40 sec.
  • 40 yd. sprint – 4.62 sec.
  • 85 push-up’s
  • 20 pull-up’s

Anthony Palacios, also age 16, became our 2nd Champion level athlete on December 9, 2010, the day after Cody achieved his Champion level.  Anthony came to Champion’s Quest in June of 2009 and also trains with Athlete Performance Coach Blake Busson.  Anthony plays football at Kennedy High School.

Anthony’s stats are as follows:

  • Standing vertical jump – 26 in.
  • Approach vertical jump – 28.5
  • 5-10-5 – 4.30 sec.
  • 10 yd. sprint – 1.49 sec.
  • 20 yd. sprint – 4.72 sec.
  • 100 push-up’s
  • 22 pull-up’s

Champion’s QUEST is so proud of our Champion level athletes and are excited to see them continue to grow and improve!  Good work Cody and Anthony!
